The Financing Scheme, one of the premier SME support programs in Bahrain, subsidizes the cost of finance by 50% and provides 50% guarantee to the partner bank in order to support, grow and develop SMEs

The study measures the tangible impact on beneficiaries that were extended facilities between April 2012 up to Nov 2016
Measurement of the effectiveness of the Scheme in terms of the impact on the beneficiaries’ business performance/productivity/profitability post funding
Ascertain the effective utilization of the funds for the intended investment
Evaluating bottlenecks in the Financing Supply Chain
Conducting systematic comparison of pre-funding and post funding KPIs to assess the overall impact

The Impact Assessment would enable Tamkeen to have a view on the percentage of enterprise that achieved desired impact in terms of financial performance, business objectives and/or economic value add
The findings of the study (Impact Assessment Index), if used in conjunction with other studies, will serve as a comprehensive framework of inputs, based on which Tamkeen can make necessary value improvements to the quality, reach, impact and effectiveness of the scheme
